Thermage cellulite reviews

Thermage | Cellulite Treatment

If you are among the many people who feel self-conscious about cellulite, then you have probably considered one of the many available treatments for the problem. Some of these remedies involve outpatient visits to a doctor’s office, where a type of electrical device that breaks down cellulite is applied to affected areas of the body. One such procedure, Thermage, is a popular choice for people who desire a non-drastic cellulite treatment with proven results.

What is Thermage?

Thermage is a technology that utilizes radiofrequency energy, vibrations and alternated heating and cooling to target areas of the skin that lack collagen. The Thermage device is designed to comfort the skin with cooling pulses before heated energy begins to penetrate below the skin’s surface. A vibrating sensation is present throughout the entire procedure, which ends with a cooling blast of cryogen to the epidermis. Thermage is also effective as an anti-aging procedure for facial wrinkles.

Thermage treats cellulite directly by penetrating the body’s tissues and stimulating the production of new collagen. The skin becomes thicker, smoother and firmer in areas prone to cellulite such as the buttocks, hips, thighs and abdomen. As a result, the “orange peel” appearance caused by cellulite is greatly improved and less noticeable. Unlike invasive surgical procedures, Thermage is a relatively quick and easy remedy for unwanted cellulite.

Thermage Costs

A Thermage treatment session typically costs around $2000, but depending on individual factors, patients can expect to pay anywhere from $1000 to $5000 for each procedure. The price of Thermage is naturally lower for those who only require minimal skin treatment. Though discounts and special offers on Thermage are sometimes available, this particular cellulite reducing procedure is not ideal for many people’s budgets. Keep in mind that more than one session is often recommended for best results.

Thermage Side Effects

Though Thermage is generally non-invasive and does not require an extensive recovery time, this cellulite treatment may cause bothersome side effects in some individuals. The most common side effects include pain and reddening of the skin. Thermage may also involve the risk of itching, swelling, bruising, blistering and scarring. Some people experience a change in skin sensations. Those who have herpes may experience a new outbreak when undergoing Thermage sessions.

Thermage Results

The results of Thermage may become visibly apparent after just one session though some people need to schedule subsequent appointments within the first six months of cellulite treatment. The effect of firmer and smoother skin due to increased collagen production typically lasts between six months and several years. Because Thermage is not permanent, patients should be prepared to undergo maintenance sessions after the initial effects begin to wear off. Thermage results may vary from person to person according to the amount of cellulite that needs to be treated.

Is Thermage Right for Your Cellulite?

Though Thermage can be a useful procedure for reducing cellulite, it is often more effective in treating wrinkles. The procedure is costly, particularly when it needs to be repeated, and some patients may find it to be painful and uncomfortable. Rather than rely on Thermage to smooth out dimpled and puckered skin surfaces, you can benefit much more readily from using a cellulite cream. Many of these creams are inexpensive yet capable of delivering great results.

Truth About Cellulite

Thermage is one of the more recent newcomers to the family of supposed cellulite treatment options. It started as a non-invasive (no cutting) method to tighten loose, saggy skin on the face. But there are many horror stories reporting serious damage and disfigurement. I’ll share links to those in a minute…   The company then came up with the idea to create a new “tip” to place on the device so it could be used to target cellulite on the lower body areas. A quick review of the top authoritative sources all indicate this conclusion: “Thermage does not get rid of cellulite.”   OK, not surprising – but there are still women who are willing to risk physical damage, financial loss and long term emotional damage by taking a gamble on this risky treatment.

What is Thermage?

Here is a short version of what it is:

Thermage uses unique radiofrequency (RF) technology to safely heat the deep layers of your skin, while cooling the surface of your skin to keep it intact during the procedure.

This deep heating stimulates your body’s natural skin renewal process, which helps tighten existing collagen and form new collagen. Over time, sagging or wrinkled skin is replaced with smoother, tighter skin; improved tone and texture; and an overall younger looking appearance.

Sounds promising, right? Well… think again.

Let’s pretend this actually worked and had no risks associated with it. There is still an underlying problem that needs to be addressed. All the muscles under the cellulite areas have not been stimulated, toned and lifted.   Since the muscles are not enhanced – then there is no way the cellulite will vanish. Interestingly, here is what is claimed in regards to the results to expect when trying Thermage for cellulite:

Smoothed dimples for temporary improvement in the appearance of cellulite

What good is “temporary improvement in the appearance of cellulite”?

Well, if it’s even true (that’s a whole other article for another day), the organizations selling the treatment try to lock women into long term treatment plans – while also pitching other temporary fixes to combine with the first temporary fix. Business as usual.   OK, so I promised I would share a link with posts from real women, just like you, and when you read these – all I can say is “be prepared”.

Thermage Damage and Complaints

Here is just one post from the page above (there are others which are quite horrendous): posted by: Judiann Thermage is a total waste of money. It is very painful. And too many risks. That is good that you listened to people who have experienced it already. I think we all wish we could have. Why pay to do damage to your skin. Thermage does not work. Truth is you can also do your own quick research by searching the terms:   – Thermage damage   or   – Thermage complaints   Many of the results will make you angry, but they will also enlighten you in a powerful way – and maybe even save you from suffering.   Alright – that’s it for today’s lesson. I hope this article has helped you. If so, please share the link with anyone else you know who can benefit from it. They’ll appreciate you for it.

Are you ready to get rid of your cellulite?

Thermage Cellulite

Thermage Cellulite is commonly used to help body contouring of the stomach, buttock and thighs and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

ThermaTipTM CL Designed to Improve the Appearance of Cellulite on the Thigh and Buttocks Area in a Single Treatment

HAYWARD, Calif., February 1, 2008 - Thermage, Inc. (NASDAQ:THRM) today announced the introduction of ThermaTip CL treatment tip and the Cellulite procedure by Thermage at the American Academy of Dermatology’s (AAD) annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas. The Cellulite procedure by Thermage uses the FDA cleared ThermaCool system for the temporary improvement in the appearance of cellulite.

According to a study published in 2007 by the Millennium Research Group, nearly 90% of women experience some degree of cellulite, and demand for non-invasive cellulite treatments in the U.S. is expected to nearly double to over 750,000 procedures per year by 2011. The Cellulite procedure by Thermage is the result of 21 months of clinical and technology development. The advanced deep heating ThermaTip CL rebuilds collagen connective tissues and improves blood flow to the tissue helping to improve the smooth appearance of the skin’s surface. “Clinical evaluations have demonstrated that Thermage technology noticeably reduces the appearance of cellulite after just a single treatment,” said Stephen J. Fanning, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer at Thermage. “We have conducted vigorous research since the spring of 2006 to develop a treatment tip that offers optimal results for our customers and their patients. The ThermaTip CL provides a unique option to physicians for the many patients who want to treat cellulite, but have yet to find something that produces significant results in a single treatment.” All Thermage procedures use a unique, patented monopolar capacitive radiofrequency technology for controlled heating of tissue that is backed by years of clinical research. The technology has been written about in over 45 peer-reviewed articles and safely used on over 450,000 patients worldwide to stimulate existing collagen and promote new collagen growth. Patients benefit from a single treatment and results can be subtle to dramatic depending on the individual patient.

Lets Talk Cellulite -

Hey ladies … Lauren here.

Today I want to discuss Luxe Spa Formula cellulite cream. This is the cream I use everyday to eliminate my cellulite, so you may think I’m biased, but bare with me.

This cream isn’t for everyone!

There are many products out there that claim to be the best there is, and I am here to let you know if this one lives up to its claims. There are a few things that you may want to consider before you run and make a purchase you are not satisfied with.

The first thing I wanted to mention is that you are not alone. After having my son, my body is not as taut as it used to be. Running around after the little guy did not make things any better. Even though I expected to see differences in my body after having children, I was not prepared for the road map that my body turned into.

A friend of mine told me that she tried Luxe Spa Formula cellulite cream and she was impressed with it. At the time it was only exclusive to dermatologists and physician based medical spas.

Fortunately, they’ve made it available online.

All-Natural Luxe Spa Formula Cellulite Cream

Now I will be quick to tell you that I am the furthest thing from a health nut. I rarely go to the gym and I eat things I probably shouldn’t, but I try to use all-natural beauty products whenever the opportunity presents itself to me, and it did. This cellulite cream is made from all of these great things you’d expect to see in a skin firming and cellulite reduction cream, like naturally sourced Caffeine and highly concentrated Retinol derivatives. This is just scientific jargon that means “this shit works”. Pardon my french.

This is a far cry from products that are filled with things like petrolatum, which the European Union consider a carcinogen (cancer-causing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). And to my dismay, I’ve found a handful of cellulite creams with this toxic ingredient.

Luxe Spa Formula gets a gold star in my book 🙂

The Cost

Luxe Spa Formula offers their cellulite cream in 3 convenient sizes … 8, 16 and 32 ounce bottles.  The 16 and 32 oz are pump bottles, which I prefer over the standard 8 oz squeeze bottle.

My preference is the 16 oz pump bottle which retails for $179.99.  With that said, there are some people who will find this purchase to be far too extravagant. Personally, I do not mind paying for something that I know has great results, which this does. And the 16 oz bottle will last quite awhile.

People should probably stop trying to save a dollar and putting their skin through the ringer as a result. If you are struggling for cash, buying this may be a stretch, but it is certainly a great buy for those who have extra money to spend on items like this. Just remember, when it comes to any beauty type product … you get what you pay for.

The Results

When I read some of the online reviews on this product, I was led to believe that I would have tighter skin after using this regularly. I was very skeptical, but it seemed like everyone was saying it was so great, and they are not all being dishonest right. If you are interested in giving it a try, you will not have a hard time finding great reviews to back up what I am saying to you right now.

Besides my stomach, I had serious problems with my legs.  I was ashamed to put on shorts and parade around since I felt like everyone was looking at me. Within a month or so of using this, I was able to walk down the street wearing shorts, and I have not done that in years. And the beach is once again one of my favorite spots to spend time with my girlfriends 🙂

One thing I feel like I should mention is the fact that this product does not work like magic. I mean this in the sense that I did not see any results until several weeks after I got started. If you are looking for something that will have you looking spectacular in a matter of hours, there is nothing that this product can do for you.

Skin Type

As you may or may not know, this product is good for people of all skin types. Whether you are a fair-skinned Latina, a medium toned European-American or a dark-skinned African-American, this product will help you. I personally have so many different ethnicities combined that I am not sure of my background.

What I do know is that this works great and I will continue using this for as long as it is available.

Pros & Cons

There are good and bad things about this product. Let me break it down a little simpler:

Pros

  • Results reported in less than a month.
  • Readily available for sale.
  • All-natural ingredients.
  • N0 toxic ingredients like petrolatum.
  • Smells great
  • Many positive reviews online.
  • Made in the USA

Cons

  • On the pricey side.
  • No immediate results.
  • Only ships to USA

As you can see, the benefits of this product certainly outweigh the disadvantages. That should be enough to prompt you to use this product. It is far ahead of others that are supposed to be in the same class.

If you are anything like me, a single mom that is more focused on children than clubbing, that does not mean that you do not want to look your best. Cellulite can be one of those nightmares that you wake up from if you take my advice and go get this product right away.

Who It’s Not For

This cellulite cream is great and I wish I could tell you this cream was for everyone, but sadly that isn’t the case. Here are a couple reasons Luxe Spa Formula No. 33 might not be for you:

  • If you have a sensitivity to caffeine or retinol.
  • If you can’t afford it. It’s a little on the pricey side after all.
  • If you have unrealistic expectations. This stuff works, but you have to give it some time.
  • If you’re under 18…sheesh you’re still a kid, be a kid. You don’t need to worry about this crap.
