Natural ways to reduce cellulite

8 Natural Ways to Reduce Cellulite

Cellulite…Every woman’s worst enemy! That might be an exaggeration, but its kinda true for a lot of people. About 90% of adult women have cellulite to some degree regardless of how skinny or fit you are, and many of us just accept it. It is NOT permanent though, and you CAN work to reduce or even eliminate it! I still remember the first time I noticed cellulite on the side of my leg in my early 20’s. I didn’t even know what it was and thought “Hmm… I don’t remember having a dimple in my skin there..” I discovered what cellulite was and I noticed more as I got older and thought, if I don’t like this, I’ve got to make an effort to get rid of it. I know some people just accept cellulite and don’t let it bother them, and that is awesome! If you do want to try to reduce it or get rid of it though, then here are some specific things that have actually helped me reduce cellulite! I’m not scientific enough to know how effective each method is all on its own, but these are all things I try to do consistently (Especially the diet, water drinking, and exercise!) and have noticed a big improvement in cellulite since starting these habits!

What Is Cellulite? To understand how and why these methods are helpful, we must first understand what cellulite is, and what causes it. In a nutshell, cellulite is just fat! Lots of sources say cellulite is caused by toxins which isn’t entirely true. Toxins are stored in our fat, and therefore toxins are in cellulite, but the toxins aren’t what’s causing the dimples, its just the fat.. But with that being said, having more toxins stored in those fat cells certainly isn’t helping. The reason women have cellulite so commonly, but men don’t is due to the way our connective tissues in our skin are made. Men have stronger connective tissues and fat cell chambers with extra support in between, sorta like this: |X|X|X|X| and women have connective tissue with fat cell chambers that looks more like this: |  |  |  |  |  |  |. That’s the best way to describe it in text. If you want to see an actual diagram check out this post! (Its awesome.) Our fat is stored in between those connective fibers in the fat cell chambers and when they are “overstuffed” they billow out creating the dimples we see as cellulite. Cellulite is also affected by our genetics and also increases with age as the collagen in our bodies diminishes. Poor circulation can also cause cellulite to build up even more. So even though cellulite is just fat, lots of other little things can affect how much you have and how visible it is. Hope that makes sense! Now that you have a good idea of what cellulite is, and how it is caused, here are some specific things you can start doing that WILL help!!

These two oils must be named as the Wonder oils of the world.

Olive oil and fish oil contain unsaturated fatty acids, which help in regulating lipid metabolism in the body. They also assist in moisturizing the skin and improving its firmness. If you take one tsp of Olive oil every morning, you can see your skin doing wonders in a very less time.

Fish oil also helps in regulating the skin but if used regularly. It shows its action in months, and if used for years, you will be able to see the best of your skin. Fish oil capsules are available at almost every drug store near you. So hurry up and make your skin free of cellulite forever.

A remedy to almost everything in this world, isn’t it? Water is the simplest product to make cellulite go away from your body. We are made of 70% of water, and that is the reason enough to prove this natural product as the solution to everything in our body.

Out of all the right uses of water, it also helps in building our lymphatic system. And taking into account the fact that lymph drainage is the significant cause of cellulite, we can say that water is the best way to make cellulite vanish from our body.

Our body is capable of getting the toxins out of it but to a certain extent. After that, those toxins poison our body and leave it with a lot of problems and disorders. If the toxins are increased in number in the body, the body keeps changing them into fat and accumulates it in our muscles, which turn out as cellulite in the body.

Things like tobacco, alcohol, coffee and fast food contain a lot of sugars and additives in them, which affect the dermis (a thin layer of muscles in our skin) and cause cellulite. So before you puff on another cigarette, make yourself ready to be embarrassed by your body cellulite for the rest of your life.

5 natural ways to reduce cellulite

Cellulite is one of those things that most women will have to deal with at some stage in their life. The majority of women will have this skin condition to one degree or another and for some and it can be a source of embarrassment that keeps them shying away during bikini season – which is nearly upon us! But before I get into the nitty gritty as to how cellulite can be reduced naturally, I think it’s a good idea to explain what it actual is.

So what is cellulite?

Often known as orange peel skin, cellulite occurs when certain areas of the skin have underlying fat deposits between their muscles and skin. This gives the skin a dimpled or bumpy appearance.

Who gets cellulite?

A lot of people are under the impression that only larger women get cellulite. But as it turns out, cellulite does not discriminate. Whether you’re at the higher end of the scale or the lower, in your prime or past it, you too can be a victim of cottage cheese thighs!

Fortunately, there are ways around making your cellulite look too obvious – some of which are pretty inexpensive. I’m not talking about ineffective cellulite creams or those ridiculously looking cellulite shoes you can get (I’d like to think we’re not quite there yet).I’m talking about those few little steps you can take in the comfort of your own home.

  1. Get moving Exercise plays a huge role in reducing cellulite. When you exercise, you’re increasing blood flow in the area and improving muscle tone. Although it isn’t the end-all cure , exercising regularly can help with the cellulite reduction (as well as many other things). Target your most common problem areas and watch it shrink in appearance.
  1. Drink more water It may seem like the cure to everything these days involves the mention of exercise or water. But both can be easily incorporated into your daily schedule. Drinking more water helps get rid of the toxins in your body which can play a role is cellulite formation.
  2. Omega-3 Since omega-3 reduces inflammation and stimulates the production of collagen (the main structural protein that holds the body together), taking fish oil supplements is quick and timeless way to help reduce cellulite. One a day may keep the fear of wearing a bikini away!
  3. Coffee scrub Coffee can do more than just wake you up in the morning! When applied topically, it can really improve blood flow – which, you probably already know at this stage – helps with cellulite reduction. Massage some coffee grounds on your lumpy parts before you hop into the shower and then shower as normally before you moisturise your skin. Do this about once a week.
  4. Kettle bells Not only does weight lifting help stimulate blood flow, it’s also a great way to help your muscles grow and tighten up. This will help avoid the dreaded bumpy and dimpled looking skin.

While there is no guarantee that every single one of these solutions will work, they’re definitely worth a try! After all, you have nothing to lose 🙂

10 Natural Ways To Reduce Cellulite

If you’re someone who is looking to reduce cellulite, it’s important that you have a good game plan in place for succeeding with this goal. Cellulite is something that many people struggle with, even those who aren’t necessarily overweight.

You do not need to be heavy to have cellulite. This issue is just as much about your skin as it is excess fat storage, you need to approach it from both angles.

Let’s look at some quick tips to note in order to reduce cellulite.

1) Drink More Water

First, make sure that you are drinking enough water throughout the day. Water is going to help to hydrate the skin, creating a smoother complexion and look to it, reducing the appearance of cellulite.

2) Strength Train

One of the primary reasons why cellulite develops is because the cellular matrix underneath that area of the skin isn’t as firm as it should be. By performing strength training activities, you’ll help to increase the firmness of the area as the muscles will press up directly against the skin.

This can then reduce the appearance of cellulite as well. As an added benefit, more muscle built means you’ll burn more calories throughout the day, which can translate to a reduced risk of fat gain as well.

3) Get Sufficient Omega Fats

Moving along, to help reduce cellulite, get your omega fats into your diet. These will further help to improve the skin tone and get you looking leaner. Choose salmon, walnuts, and flaxseeds more often.

4) Eat A Proper Calorie Intake

Along with getting enough omega fats, also make sure that your calorie intake is where it needs to be. If you want to lose or maintain your body weight, you must be consuming the right number of calories.

Add up how many you eat and make sure it’s between 10-14 per day depending on whether your goal is weight loss or weight maintenance.

5) Don’t Crash Diet

Speaking of dieting, avoid crash dieting at all costs. This will just cause you to lose muscle mass, reducing the firmness of the skin and inviting the appearance of cellulite in.

6) Get More Fresh Produce In Your Diet

Another must in your diet plan is to ensure that you are eating enough fresh produce. Sufficient fruits and vegetables are needed to provide vital nutrients and antioxidants that enhance the look and feel of the skin.

7) Moisturize

The next quick tip to help reduce cellulite is to make sure that you moisturize regularly. This can help to increase the elasticity of the skin, reducing the appearance of cellulite.

8) De-Stress

Stress will not only make you feel unwell, but it can also impact your appearance as well. It’s yet another factor that can influence your complexion and make you more likely to store body fat as well, so make sure that you’re doing stress busting activities regularly.

9) Diet Wisely

When you do use a diet plan to help lose fat, make sure that you are dieting wisely using a well balanced approach. Those who adopt very extreme diet plans tend to notice a greater increase in the appearance of cellulite as they are putting more stress on the body overall and may be at a higher risk of losing lean muscle mass.

Eat from all food groups for best results.

10) Use A Self-Tanner

Finally, one last simple quick tip to implement is to tan. While sitting out in the sun is a bad idea as it can increase your risk of skin cancer, investing in a self-tanner can help to tone the skin which reduces the appearance of cellulite further.

So there you have ten great ways to reduce cellulite and start feeling better about your body. Use a few of these and you should be noticing a difference shortly.
